Yes, good suggestion Barbara. I will speak to Mr Rathbone the Caretaker and ask him if they have ever had any events at the rear of the Chapel. It is a good size for a dog show and stalls.

We have gone from Dog Show to function at the Chapel. We have now moved onto something that will be cheaper and easier to organise. Picnic in the Park and I mean Sandbach Heath Park on Church Lane. Does everyone know it as this, or is it just a children's play area to most families.
Does anyone use it much. Would members of the community like to see it renovated like Elworth Park? Perhaps a landscape area, a proper childrens play are and some benches for people to sit on. Would anyone like to contribute to this discussion thread.

I'm not sure that I like this board since it has been changed and I don't like the blue colour. Can we do anything about it Tony?
Regarding events for Picnic in the Park on Bank Hol Monday (if it doesn't rain), someone has suggested Boules. Are people interested in this, along with footy, rounders, cricket and whatever else anyone comes up with.
Why have I had to sign in as a guest when I've already logged in!
Is anyone else having trouble using this board, or is it just me?

Even if it pours we will have to go ahead with Picnic in the Park because we are going to have to pay £56 public liability so it is going to cost more than the Chapel!
We will need to have a tombola. Any other ideas for raising money to pay for this liability insurance!

We have had to postpone our idea of Picnic in the Park as the cost of Ins Liability and other associated costs make this idea unaffordable. We do not have any funds to speak of as yet. However we are still looking at fund raising ideas that will involve people on the Heath. If anyone has any ideas to generate funds we would like to hear from you. You can post your ideas on this board and we will discuss them at our Steering Group meeting.

Fundraising update - the Quiz Night at the Ring o Bells was a success and those people who attended enjoyed it so much they are keen for us to hold another Quiz night. This will be discussed at the next Steering Group meeting.
