The Planning Application for 50 houses is now due to be heard on the 24th April 2013.
The Planning Officer - Paul Wakefield - has still to prepare his report as he is awaiting a Highways report.
Representatives from Sandbach Heath Neighbourhood Forum will be attending this meeting to object to the proposal.

Would it be an idea to do a small survey? One team from the junction heath road Newcastle road and hassle road. One team end of heath road and heath road. One team end of Smithfield lane and Newcastle road. As Terry said the highways commission will only be interested in main roads. This will highlight the effect additional houses would have. Also this could assist the group that will protest the development off Hassel road. Dave

That sounds like a good idea. I don't mind helping out with traffic counting and taking photos. Aurora

I feel that a survey could be carried out week commencing 8th April, this will ensure that schools share back after Easter. I suggest 0730 to 0930hrs and 1500 to 1730hrs, this should capture the busiest periods. We now need volunteers as many as possible! But a minimum of 6 per period. Can willing parties respond so that a date satisfactory to the majority can be arranged?

Woops have been on to Sandbach school web site and it says school term starts 15th April So week commencing the 15th would be better.

I will go to the Planning committee meeting, as I think that some residents should attend. If David can go and wants to speak that is preferable, but if he can't go someone needs to go and speak.

I have just picked up Sam's email and it is very bad news. The Persimmon 50 will be heard at Macclesfield and the case officer will recommend that it is passed.
I hope that Sam puts the email on the forum tomorrow for everyone to see.
If they pass 50 houses, I am sure that the 200 will follow very quickly.

At the Strategic Planning Committee Meeting in Macclesfield yesterday, the Councillors voted to defer the Persimmon 50, as they wished to see the masterplan for the whole site.

Having gone through CEC's complaint procedure, the Local Government Ombudsman and National Planning Case Unit to request that the planning application be 'called in' due to irregularities, I've now received a copy of the 'Notice of Decision' that the application be approved pending signing of S106 agreement.

Outline planning for 50 houses was approved - we are still persevering with our complaints about the way the meeting was conducted. As most of you are aware, a further, FULL application for 146 additional houses has been submitted.the application will be heard at a Strategic Planning Board meeting on 5th March. Our representatives will be speaking at the meeting and need your support so please make every attempt to come along. Check the CEC website, SPB meetings agenda for time and place. We will post these as soon as they are published. Thank you

The 'reserved matters' application for 50 houses and the full application for a further 146 houses was due to be heard by the Strategic Planning Board on 5th March, (it still shows this date on CEC's website). However, we have been informed that it may now be 2nd April. We have still to receive a response to our complaint regarding the application for 50 houses. We have submitted a request to the NPCU for an 'Environmental Impact Assessment' screening opinion on these developments because the developer has not provided an EIA and CEC has not provided an opinion. According to our research, an EIA is required due to the number of houses/hectares involved.
